Yes. When we write web sites, they are optimised for indexing and listing, a process known as 'Search Engine Optimisation', which means that your site will be listed by all of the major search engines - Google, Bing, Yahoo! etc. etc. We will also program your site in such a way that it is most likely to be picked up by a user looking for your specific organisation.
BUT we can't guarantee that your site will be listed high up in the Google (or any other) rankings unless you also pay (them, not us) for an enhanced listing. Talk to us about Google and effective use of your marketing budget.
Yes. We use a content management system called WordPress to write all of our current web sites, and it's specifically designed for easy modifications and amendments. We will happily provide you with the basic training necessary to work on your own web sites.
Yes. For obvious reasons we can't assume responsibility for the work that others have done, but once we have evaluated your hosting setup and the programming of your web site, we can normally assist. Get in touch and we can have the discussion.
Your domain name belongs to whoever pays the registration fee. If you buy one of our packaged solutions, we pay your registration fee.
We do encourage you, once you have the basic knowledge, to pay your own registration and hosting fees. This gives you total control over your own web presence and lets you choose who manages and programs it in the future.
We will transfer all rights to you free of charge once you choose to set up your own hosting.
Yes. You will have to provide a basic outline of what you require, and it would be helpful if you have a brochure or other publicity materials, but we can create all of the content for your web site if you want us to.
Probably. We don't offer a free web site service, simply because you end up paying for it by some other means.
But we can normally produce something similar in look and feel, with improved content and more accessible management structures. Talk to us about what's involved.
Generally speaking, we can, if needed, produce a basic web site in 5 days from reservation of the domain name to making the site go live. This allows time for construction, content creation, proof reading and any minor amendments required. Obviously the more time available, the better the end product.
We offer two pricing methods. If what you want is a new web site, with a domain name licence, hosting, programming, installation and management - we offer three basic packages for the most common applications.
If you want something different, we charge on an hourly/daily rate. Generally speaking, for a particular project, we will evaluate your needs and offer a solution. In most cases that will be a fixed price quotation, so that you can decide how and where it fits in your budget.
Where you need an ongoing commitment, such as site maintenance or management, or ongoing support for your current installation, we will work to an agreed fixed budget. In the circumstances that we foresee exceeding the budget, we will advise you in advance so that you can always make a commitment before the work is undertaken.
